CELEBRATION OF DELIRIOUSNESS
ok... sorry abt the double blog... but I felt this really deserved it...
Well... this is it. The big one. The thing you've all been waiting for. Ok, maybe not, but I just wanted to say that.
After 36 hours, 4 minutes and 9 seconds (to the very second) and 26 chapters, I've finally completed Fire Emblem 6: Fuushin no ken! Huzzah! All praise!
It was pretty easy, considering at the end all you had to do was swing said legendary weapons around to decapitate mamkutes everywhere... plus the final boss needed only TWO hits from the Sword of Seals to well, be defeated. (NOT killed.) Man, Im good. (always wanted to say that)
In the end, when all's said and done, I achieved a B-rank in the game, pretty good when you consider I played it for the first time. Ok, so maybe Ive played its... successor (Fire Emblem 7 :Rekka no ken or Fire Emblem US for those who played the English version) ten (or more) times over, know all the tips and tricks of the trade, but its still a good rank, considering I used the arena (got D for Tactics, A for Funds, A for survival, A for Battle, B for experience (how much you train your troops) and B for strength (average attack strength, im told.).
I would consider Fire Emblem 6 to actually be better than its... successor. (sounds weird I know) The maps are DEFINITELY more challenging, enemies has finally some semblance of strategy, and additional funstuff like the legendary weapons (which could have been better but Ill say more in the full review). The only map I ever considered remotely challenging was Cog of Destiny and like I said, remotely.
My only regret is that I never did get to see the legendary dark tome, Apocalypse (Silencing Darkness), since I never did train my shamans to S-level in Dark magic. Remediable, of course. Im already preparing to play a SECOND time. *grins with Dan-like intensity* (Dan: character from Street Fighter, or else go play Puzzle Fighter 2, youll get what I mean.)
